Are You Buying The “wal-mart Goes Green” Campaign?

by admin in Green Energy

Wal-mart is going with natural lighting by day, electric lighting on a photocell sensor system by night.
L.E.D lighting in their display cases.
Floors will be polished cement, instead of tile.
Products will be sold in “concentraited” form so packages will be smaller …
Ok, so their light bill goes down. Will Prices?
Will we, the consumer be paying for their renovations to remove the existing light fixtures and tiles? Renovation is darn expensive.
Oh yeah, they are changing their Logo to something a little more pleasant. (How nice.)
Do you think these changes (will make you THINK) that Wal-mart is any better than before?

First start paying and treating your employees better. Then talk green.

NO! Since Mr Sam (Sam Walton) died the company has completely lost it’s focus and my experience with Wal-Mart is that it continues to get worse and worse.
It is the people that work for a company that makes or breaks that company. And until they expect better (dress code, attitudes) of there employees I just do not see it getting any better. Don’t get me wrong, my husband worked part-time for WM before Sam died and it was a place to work and shop! Years later he worked there again, after Sam died, and it was a completely different company. No respect or appreciation for their employees. Needless to say he left about 6 months later.
I have to say one more thing about how the company operates today. They dictate the amount they will pay a manufacturer for their product(s) or they simply will not carry them. And the majority of the manufacturer have to cut corners to meet that price, just something to consider before you give them your money.
    Trust Wal-Mart? NO WAY!!
