Green Energy PR

by admin in Solar Power

by Lochinvar1 For companies of the environmentally friendly persuasion, it’s tempting to want to shout about those efforts from the rooftops in hopes of attracting positive attention. That can be a great move – as long as it’s done correctly. Green energy PR is a specialty honed by many communication professionals who are well-equipped to help your business make the most of your environmental friendliness initiatives. Some of those professionals have made a career out of green energy PR, while others have worked for organizations that inadvertently helped them develop the specialty because of in-house environmental friendliness initiatives. Lots of interesting sustainable energy projects are going on around the world right now. In New York, for example, there’s work being done to reach the goal of having 30 percent of all energy used statewide come from renewable sources. All over the country, schools are switching to more environmentally friendly bulbs and reworking policies to ensure that lights are turned off when they’re not being used. Schools with the resources to do so are even installing the kind of lights that switch off automatically when motion sensors don’t detect anyone in the room. Green roofing is also becoming more and more popular, especially on new buildings. The reason it’s important to have a professional involved in your green energy PR is because it’s easy to cross the line from appropriate to too much. Making your organization sound greener than it is is a practice known as “greenwashing,” and people are developing a keener eye for it – especially as so many organizations seek credit for their green initiatives without also seeking the counsel of a green energy PR professional. The public can be quite harsh when it suspects that an entity is taking more credit for environmental friendliness than it deserves. For example – large corporations that make a big deal when they put a green roof on a new building, or when one facility out of a thousand gets an Energy Star rating, can be accused of “greenwashing.” And that’s the danger of promoting such initiatives without the counsel of someone experienced with green energy PR. That’s not to say that even those businesses don’t deserve credit. Every little bit helps when it comes to conserving natural resources. The point is to illustrate the importance of seeking that credit with the finesse and expertise that a communication professional can provide. A communication consultant with experience in green energy PR can help you find the right balance – drawing positive attention to your environmental friendliness efforts in a truthful and sustainable manner. Commercial Solar Panels Offer More Than Lower Energy Consumption

by admin in Solar Power

by Governor Abercrombie Article by Timmy Vic Commercial solar panels have become a new way for business owners to save money and even to add to their income base. Where commercial solar panels used to be very expensive and difficult to source, they are now offered by many companies and are a more reasonable price for the benefits you gain by using solar. A company who specializes in commercial solar panels, and other types of installation as well, is National Green Power, at nationalgreenpower. When shopping for the best in commercial solar panels, be sure to use a company that really knows their product and isn’t new to selling and installing commercial solar panels. Installing any kind of solar panel solution can be a lot more complicated than simply hooking panels up to a battery. When installing commercial solar panels, there are many things to take into consideration. For example, position and angle, how the energy will be collected, stored or returned to the power grid, and more. Since most commercial properties are buildings, and the chance of using lawn space for this is rare, it won’t usually be possible to easily install commercial solar panels that track the sun, so it will be necessary for a professional to help locate the best place for the stationary commercial solar panels to get as much sun as possible. This will ensure the most return on your financial investment. Hiring National Green Power to help you choose the commercial solar panels best suited to your location, budget and goals will ensure you don’t purchase unnecessary equipment, and that you will reach you goals. It’s not just something they do as an add-on to their services. Selling commercial solar panels and other types of solar power is what they do. An obvious benefit to investing in commercial solar panels is that you can greatly reduce your energy bills. This is particularly helpful if your business has a lot of electrical equipment or heats using electricity. Aside from the obvious benefit of adding commercial solar panels, is the possibility of selling extra power generated by your commercial solar panels back to the power grid. Did you know that the government will purchase power your commercial solar panels generate, and re-distribute it to other users? It’s an excellent way to make a little extra money, which will help pay for the cost of your purchase in a short time. If you’re looking for an investment that is low-risk, offers immediate return and can pay for itself with very little maintenance, then consider purchasing commercial solar panels for your business. National Green Power will help design a solution that meets your specific needs, and then they will professionally install it, ensuring an easy to run system that can not only lower your energy costs, but also provide an income by selling extra power back to the grid. Visit National Green Power’s website at nationalgreenpower to learn more about what they offer, and how purchasing and installing commercial solar panels can benefit your business. by admin in Solar Power

Manhattan, NY (PRWEB) February 17, 2012 Green Mountain Energy Company is donating $ 50,000 to the Riverside Park Fund to help install a solar array at Riverside Park on the Hudson River. The solar array will be part of the Green Outlook renovation project which will transform an abandoned parking lot into a scenic destination for the parks visitors. Green Mountain presented a check to Mark McIntyre, executive director, Riverside Clay Tennis Association, for the first $ 5,000 installment at a fundraising event held at the home of NYC council member, Gale Brewer, guest hosted by CNNs Fareed Zakaria. This is the first official corporate donation made to the Green Outlook project. The solar photovoltaic (PV) system will help reduce the parks carbon footprint, as well as educate visitors about the benefits of solar energy. Green Mountain Energy Company is especially proud to donate these funds towards a solar array system to the Green Outlook project at Riverside Park, said Paul Markovich, president of residential services, Green Mountain Energy Company. Green Mountain has been giving New Yorkers the choice of pollution-free electricity for their homes and offices since 2009. Donating funds towards solar installations like this one helps us give back to the communities where our customers live, work, shop and play, while supporting our mission to change the way power is made. Green Mountain is making this donation through its Green Mountain EnergyTM Sun ClubTM a unique program in which Green Mountains customers can choose to support solar donations to worthy non-profits by contributing an additional five dollars on their monthly electricity bill.
