Residential Solar & Its Uses

by admin in Solar Power

by CERTs Solar power is a safe and clean energy source. It referred to as the energy generated from sunlight. There are many methods to use solar energy for domestic requirements that known as residential solar. Recently this industry has seen a sharp rise and many people benefited from the various advantages provided by it. The interest in this energy source has manly increased due to the following three features. The increasing energy bills causing much waste. The reduction of fossil fuel reserves, they are depleting at a great speed. The environmental damage of burning the non renewable, fossil fuels that generate a lot of pollution. Residential solar concerned within the residential area because it uses sun for producing energy available at free of cost. It is advantageous for the environment. Many of the domestic and commercial areas bring this power to fulfill their requirements of energy. They have widespread use at homes. It can be used for solar heating. There are two types of solar heating systems that based on the fluid, it can either be liquid or air that heated in the solar energy collectors, in which a liquid heated by the sun. On one side, the liquid-based systems heat water or may be an antifreeze solution in a hydronic collector, whereas on the other side, the air-based systems heat the air in the air collector. Both of them obtain and integrate radiations from the sun and then move the heat directly to the internal space or to a storage place from where the heat scattered. If sufficient space heating is not provided by the system, then a support system has to provide the additional heat. There are several benefits of solar heating systems. They are cost-effective when used for most of the year. They are inexpensive if displacing the expensive heating fuels. The larger the system, the lesser it costs per unit of collector area. It can reduce the fuel bills in the winter, if used to heat the rooms. It also reduces the air pollution and greenhouse gases. Another use of solar energy is in the solar lighting. The technology of solar lights has come to notice in just few couple of years. The companies are manufacturing a wide range of lighting in various different styles and colors. Solar holiday lights have sensors that turns them on at night and off during the day. They run almost for about 8 hours. Solar String Lights are a group of solar powered LED lights that can be placed on the eves of the house or hanged around lamp posts, trees, mail boxes etc. They are available in different colors. Solar Multi-Colored String Lights are lot like solar string lights above, but the only difference is that they are multicolor. Solar Rope Lights are string of 50 or 102 solar powered LED bulbs encased in plastic tubing and can tolerate any weather. The plastic tubing is so versatile and; therefore, it called a rope. They can be wrapped around trees. Solar Net Lights made of 50 LED lights that used to wrap a shrub. They are available only in white. Solar Icicle Lights are similar to electrical icicle lights. Solar Garland Lights decorated with crimson winter berries, pine cones and 50 LED white lights. They can be hanged on the exterior surface that receives direct sunlight. There are many more uses of solar lighting, and in addition to it, they are easy to install, energy efficient, versatile etc. They do not need to be manually turned on and off, or attached to any timer. Almost all of them come with daylight sensors. All that required to be done is to install them in the favorite position and done. New Energy Portal is supporting the development and growth in all fields of renewable sources of energy. They work to improve the current situation of the world that demands a careful handling of all the resources in terms of use of energy. Aong with encouraging everybody to use residential solar, they want everyone to “Go Green”. Thus, it has a lot of applications like solar heating and solar lighting.

Green Energy and Its Uses in the Modern World

by admin in Green Energy

Green energy is referred to as the method of generating power. Most of the time this is known as electrical power which is acquired through resources that are renewable. Green energy can be compared to that of fossil fuels. The emissions from fossil fuels work by creating toxic hydrocarbons which cause us to become ill. The water, wind and sun are alternative energy sources. When green energy is produced from the sun, we call this solar energy. Solar energy is retained through the use of solar panels. While there are two different types of solar panels, each one uses technology in creating new energy. Solar water heaters are referred to as new energy panels which absorb sunlight and then transfer this to water by heating it. After this, photovoltaic panels work by transforming the radiation into electrical energy. To get the best efficiency through the use of green energy, homeowners are advised to install the panels on top of the roof so they face south at 30 degree angles horizontally. They should never be placed near shady spots or around trees, buildings or chimneys. One of the more popular sources of green energy are the use of solar energy systems which heat water. When solar panels are connected to a hot water system of a house, these panels can supply in excess of half the water needed per year. Solar collector of choice are typically flat plates or tubes. For many years, wind has served as a great source of alternatate energy. Originally, the purpose of wind energy was to help pump the water at grain mills. There have been two major improvements in wind turbines since then. The use these wind turbines has resulted in capturing wind to generate electricity within high wind areas. In California, there are many wind turbines on hills. The electricity generated from these is exported for local grid use and standalone applications. There are enormous potentials in the use of wind energy onshore and offshore when it comes to farming. This form of energy is the cleanest and safest of any method of renewable energy. The UK has the largest source of alternative energy around. In the UK, they are using small batteries which charge the wind spectrum along with wind farms. The wind farms are successful in producing large amounts of electricity. Wind only produces about 1 percent of the world’s entire green energy. The potential is much greater of how much could actually be produced. The percentage of use should drastically change within the twenty years because of rising energy costs. It is not complicated to produce wind energy from wind. Neither wind or solar energy produce any pollution chemicals or emissions into our environment, which is quite obvious. The only draw back of using this type of energy is how some people find the appearance of wind turbines to be very unattractive. There are others who find the appearance of wind turbines very attractive to the eye. It’s all a matter of opinion. Robert Sanford writes for SolarEnergyForHomes.org and offers help in the area of implementing solar energy at home.
